New Year activities at Sixmilecross

THE New Year programme of events at Sixmilecross Enterprise Ltd community hall kicks off on Monday, January 9, with guitar lessons running from 7pm to 8.15pm. Line dancing with Shirley Hawkes, will also be held on Monday evening's from 8pm until 9.30pm.
On Tuesday mornings the Sixmilecross Parent and Toddler group will also run. The class will commence at 9.30am for the parents, grandparents and carers together with the young children. A spokesperson said: "This is an ideal opportunity for new parents to meet with and get to know other parents in the area. It is also ideal for children to learn social skills and to play with and get to know their peers. The group is extended to lunchtime to include parents and children attending playgroup."
The Walking Club will recommence on Tuesday, January 10, with a guided walk and back to the centre for a cuppa. Walkers will meet at Sixmilecross Community Centre at 10am. Kettle Bells classes will also run from 7.30pm until 8.30pm on Tuesday evenings with Irene.
The Youth Club also returns on Wednesdays. The junior youth club for primary one to seven will be held at 6.30pm and the senior youth club for 11 to 15-year-olds will commence at 8.30pm. Zumba with Orsi will run on Thursday nights from 7.30 to 8.30pm and indoor soccer on the same evening at 8.45pm. The 45 Card Drive also makes a welcome return to its usual Friday night slot at 8pm.
