Success in the Brendan Keogh Memorial Cup capped a remarkable season for the local club - only nine months after they were forced to pull out of the league.

Goals from Cunningham, Kris Hamilton, Cathal Moore and Hugh McCarney's penalty ensured Seamus McCarron's side strolled to three points - and ninth win of the season.

Hamilton broke the deadlock in the first-half following good work by Moore who found himself on the score-sheet shortly after as Fintona raced into a two goal lead.

Two further strikes from Cunningham gave the hosts a convincing advantage at the break before McCarney completed the rout from the spot.

Speaking after receiving the cup, McCarron said: "It's been a great season, there's no doubt about that.

"The only objective at the start of the season was to get the club up and running again.

"This success now gives us something to build on."
