Newtownstewart woman issues heartfelt appeal after car stolen

A WOMAN whose car was stolen on the day of her 50th birthday in Newtownstewart has issued a heartfelt appeal to the public to keep an eye out for the vehicle which contained a number of close personal items.

Rosemary Connelly explained that she had parked up her vehicle to deliver dinner to a gentleman who is housebound and when she returned less than a minute later her Toyota Avensis was gone.

Police have confirmed they are appealing for information following the theft of a vehicle in the Mill Street area of Newtownstewart on Tuesday, March 27.

It was reported that at some point between 12.15pm and 12:30pm a black Toyota Avensis which was parked on Mill Street was stolen and made off along the Strabane Road to the A5.

Anyone with information is asked to contact 101 quoting reference 578 27/03/18. Information can also be passed to the Independent crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.
