Dungiven 1. Mountjoy United 1.

MOUNTJOY United are beginning to make a name for themselves as draw specialists in the Northern Ireland Intermediate League, and on Saturday they recorded their sixth stalemate in eight away matches in a 1-1 draw at Dungiven.
Despite enjoying some good spells of possession in the first half, it was United who fell behind, but at the start of the second half they levelled matters with a David Matthews effort from close range.
The league's new boys could have gone on to win the game with several good openings, but with some poor decision-making in evidence the chances weren't taken.
Dungiven had a player sent off late on for lashing out at Robbie McGrew.
“A draw away from home is a good result," commented United boss, Richard Beckett.
“It was a good performance and we could have killed them off. We were coping well with them and breaking well, but I'm disappointed with some of the final balls. We were taking the wrong option too many times.
“It's another draw, the glass is half full or half empty, depending on how you look at it. But we're the underdogs in this league, and it's good that we're matching teams and not getting beaten.
“We could have won some of the games, especially the ones at UUC and Roe Valley, but I think the games with Ardstraw and on Saturday were fair enough results," he concluded.
Having began fairly brightly on Saturday, Mountjoy were unfortunate to fall behind when Dungiven opening the scoring on 15 minutes.
However, for the remainder of the half, the visitors began to improve and had their final ball been better they could have been level by the break, but shortly after half-time they got the breakthrough they deserved.
A Patrick Northern corner was knocked down for David Matthews to stab home from close range as United drew level, and from there, it was the visitors who could have added to the scoreline.
However, as in the first half, the wrong option being taken when in attack proved costly as the game finished in deadlock, forcing the Lisnagirr Road-based side to have to settle for a point, again.
