Carrick Rangers had come into the game with a strong record at Ferney Park, having won on their last four trips to Fermanagh, but the Mallards have brought the run to an end.

The opening goal came early in the game when Daniel Larmour fouled Gary Armstrong, and Ryan Mayse dispatched the penalty.

Mayse added a second with a fine finish after collecting an Owens cross, as he hunted down Adam Lecky for the leading goalscorer award. Carrick replied with a Daniel Kelly header but the advantage was restored before half time with Ryan Curran scoring.

Ryan Morris headed in a fourth whilst Mayse went close to adding another whilst Carrick hit the bar through Kyle McVey.
