TUMMERY Athletic manager Gerry Love has admitted it would be a ‘slight disappointment’ if his side missed out on the treble this term.

At the business end of the season, the Dromore side are still in contention for three trophies, having sealed their place in the final of the Irish Junior Cup, while they are also in the semi-final draw for the Mulhern Cup and are unbeaten in Fermanagh and Division One.

“I want all three trophies, absolutely,” stressed Love. “I’m not a greedy person!

“But I always tell the players they don’t need to win a league, or an Irish Junior Cup or Mulhern Cup because down the years it may be achieved. For the players, it’s all about wanting to win them. If you don’t want to win them, you shouldn’t be sitting in the dressing room wearing the Tummery jersey. You have got to have the passion and commitment, resilience, creativity - all of those characteristics, to go out and represent the club and play for each other.

“It’s all about the want for me. Obviously, I want to win all three but I need to hear if the players will buy into it as well.”
