CARE for Cancer has extended thanks everyone who supported the Christmas Draw. This is the second year of the Christmas Draw and the charity was delighted that a total of £12,109 was raised.

Through the support of the local community, Care for Cancer will put this money back into the local community to provide practical help and support to those families who are affected by cancer.

The charity provides services to families within a 26-mile radius of Omagh and provide a caring supportive environment for families living with the realities of a cancer diagnosis, which has been even more difficult during the Covid pandemic.

Services have continued to provide support throughout the lockdown periods, and through your fundraising during 2021 Care for Cancer has provided; 460 Complementary therapies; 203 Counselling sessions; 537 Drives to hospital; 99 Bra fitting appointments and 27 Recliner chairs.

Cae for Cancer will continue to provide complementary therapies in our centre, in the palliative care ward in Omagh hospital and during home visits. The counselling service is available face to face or on the telephone or via zoom. Volunteer drivers are available for hospital appointments to any hospital in Northern Ireland. The centre is open Monday to Thursday, 10am to 3pm.
