International call up for Tattyreagh teen!

A GIFTED young footballer from Tattyreagh has been selected to play for the Northern Ireland Under-15 soccer team.

Brandon Downey, who is a year 10 pupil at Omagh CBS, traveled with International teammates from Windsor Park to Belgium for five days over the Easter period.

There, they played in a triangular tournament against Belgian Premier opposition, and a fixture with their Belgian counterparts.

The talented footballer has been described as a wide attacking player who can operate with on either flank.

He currently plays his club football with Crusaders FC in Belfast, and trains with the Elite NI Academy in Stormont on Sundays.

His impressive displays throughout the season have attracted much footballing interest, with a cross channel club making an enquiry before he departed for Belgium.
