THERE was a full timesheet on Saturday for the charity competition in aid of Chest, Heart and Stroke at Fintona Golf Club.

This competition is held annually and is sponsored by the Corry family.

Despite the good condition of the course and the favourable weather, the scoring was relatively modest with Declan Corry winning with 40 points.

Even at that, he had two points to spare over the chasing pack as the results show.

Results: 1; Declan Corry 40pts, Cat One; (0-9) Adrian McGinn 37pts, Cat Two; (10-19) Mark McMahon 36pts, Cat Three (20+) John Kenny 38pts (C/B), Gross; Aaron Shortt 73 (Gross) (C/B), Seniors; Gerard Donnelly 38pts, Front Nine; Cathal McAnenly 20pts (C/B) and Back Nine; Aaron McAnenly 21pts.

A spokesperson said: "We are grateful to the Corry family for sponsoring this event in aid of Chest, Heart and Stroke.

"The prize winners will be notified regarding the prizegiving.

"We had the prize giving for the Garrity Painting Contracts on Friday evening and there was a good turnout from the winners."
