A MEMORIAL service and stone unveiling to remember a teenage girl murdered 50 years ago outside Aughnacloy will take place on Saturday, April 1 at 2.30pm.
Eighteen-year-old Marian Beattie was murdered in 1973 after attending a dance at Hadden's Garage.
She was found in nearby Hadden's Quarry a few hours later. Her murder remains unsolved.
The service and memorial stone unveiling will take place at where the quarry used to be which is now beside Tullyvar Civic Amenities and Landfill site between Aughnacloy and Ballygawley.
Members of the local community who would like to attend are encouraged to do so with the gates of the Civic Amenities site being open to assist as a car parking facility.
Family, friends and victims campaigners will speak about Marian before the stone will be unveiled.
There will be tea and coffee provided afterwards in Aghaloo Community Centre in Moore Street, Aughnacloy.
