THE owner of a local takeaway has said she was "blown away" by support shown by local bikers.

On Tuesday of last week, The Burger Hut, Campsie, was visited by over 30 hungry motorcycle riders, who enjoyed a delicious bite to eat before hitting the road!

The visit was on the back of a social media appeal from Wendy O'Brien, proprietor of The Burger Hut, who invited her biker friends to come along and enjoy a burger.

Wendy said the response was greater than she expected and added that she was extremely grateful for the support shown for her business, especially in these tough economic times.

"It was totally overwhelmed to see so many bikers here arriving for a bite to eat," she said. "Thank you so much for taking the time to come down and support my wee business! We had riders from Omagh, Strabane, Fivemiletown, and even Armagh. It was amazing.

"This is an example of supporting local at its finest. With costs rising all the time and small businesses being squeezed more and more, it makes such a difference to have the support of the local community! During these hard times, it is greatly appreciated."

Wendy is currently growing her social media following, and currently has over 6,000 followers on Snapchat, 8,500 'likes' on Facebook and 10,500 followers on TikTok.

Last year, The Burger Hut's now-famous chip wrap creation went viral, with a video of the mouth-watering delight amassing over two-million views on TikTok!
