Prestigious industry award coincides with Castlederg card shop's 10th anniversary

A LOCAL cards and gift shop has celebrated its 10th anniversary in style, having been named the best independent greeting card retailer in Northern Ireland and North West England!

Bus Stop Cards and Gifts, Castlederg, received the prestigious award at The Retas 2023 awards, which recognises and celebrating not only the top independent and multiple specialist greeting card retailers regionally and nationally.

The winners were announced at an awards event on Thursday, July 6 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London, where the local store received the coveted accolade.

Maura Quinn, owner of Bus Stop Cards and Gifts, extended thanks to loyal customers for their support over the years.

"On July 1, we celebrated 10 years in Business," she said. "There was no better way of celebrating this than been nominated and becoming a Finalist for The Best Independent Greeting Card Retailer – North West England and Northern Ireland.

"The winners were unveiled at a lavish afternoon awards event on Thursday 6 July, which took place at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.

"This year, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, The Retas 2023 took on a Van Gogh theme. Some 400 members of greeting card community were together for an afternoon of celebration and camaraderie! And we won!

"We would like to thank all our customers who have supported over the last 10 years and to our wonderful staff who work very hard to provide as good as service as we possibly can."
