AS OMAGH Literary Festival draws ever-nearer, both the organisers and audiences are looking forward to a packed itinerary of events.
The Grand Festival Finale takes place on Saturday, August 5, with total of six events planned throughout the day at the Strule Arts Centre.
Omagh Arts Committee, who are organising the event, are delighted that internationally acclaimed and award winning author Claire Keegan has agreed to include the festival in her busy engagement schedule.
Audiences will get the chance to see the film "An Caitlin Ciuin" 'The Quiet Girl', based on her award winning novel 'Foster'. This film was nominated for the Academy Award for best international feature film. Claire will be in conversation with Belfast award winning short story writer Wendy Erskine.
The committee is also delighted to welcome Dara Mc Anulty, award winning conservationist and author of 'Diary of a Young Naturalist', in conversation with "Take On Nature" columnist Stephen Colton. Irish News.
Stephen Colton is also of particular local interest as from Dromore and taught in Eskra PS.
