FERMANAGH and Omagh District Council, in partnership with the NI Regional Food Programme, through the Sperrin and Erne Food Partnership, is delighted to announce a series of Farmers' Markets which will be taking place in Omagh.
These markets will showcase the best of our local produce whilst promoting sustainability and creating vibrant visitor experiences to support the regeneration of our town centres.
The aim of the markets is to raise the profile of quality regional food, seek to increase the consumption of fresh, nutritious and seasonal food and support our local businesses.
The markets will take place on: Sunday, November 3 at the Marquee on Main Street, Kevlin Avenue, Omagh, 12pm to 4pm and Saturday, November 23 at the Marquee on Main Street, Kevlin Avenue, Omagh, 11am to 5pm.
By reducing food miles and highlighting local products, these markets contribute to a more sustainable future whilst also encouraging residents and visitors alike to experience the rich food culture of our district.
If you are a local producer and would be interested in taking a stall at the market, please complete the online Expression of Interest on www.fermanaghomagh.com.
