ON June 20 and 21, a group of Omagh Spires Special Olympics Club athletes took part in the Ulster Advancement Gala for swimming in the South Lakes Leisure Centre, Craigavon.
On day one, the club ended with 11 first place finishes, 12 second place finishes and five third place finishes.
There were also 20 personal bests (PBs) - an amazing achievement.
Day two started where day one finished on a high with athletes were ready to perform despite the raging high temperatures and sauna like conditions.
"Wow what a day, our athletes finished the day with 18 gold medals, seven silver medals and three bronze medals and another 20 personal bests (PBs)," a club spokesperson said.
"The PBs are notable as many swimmers PB’d on each day!
"As a club, we are so proud of each and every one of our swimmers as they all swam their own race and the results are very clear. Well done everyone!
"A special word of thanks to all the coaches, committee members, parents/guardians and volunteers for making this happen.
"Without the continued support from everyone involved in the club, we would not be able to compete and enjoy these events.
"Also, a huge congratulations to Special Olympics Ulster on another extremely well-run event. Well done to everyone involved."
