SINN Féin councillor Caroline Devine says that telecommunications company, 02, needs to fully investigate the cause of the continued reduction and loss of mobile signal in Aghyaran and proactively address the problem.
“O2 customers in the Aghyaran area have been experiencing either a much reduced or often a total loss of signal since June. I, along with Órfhlaith Begley MP, have been making representations to the company on behalf of the many customers affected -both on a case-by-case basis and collectively.”
She added: “However, it has to be said that the response of 02 to our representations to date has been completely unsatisfactory. The situation has improved little, and it is not acceptable that customers are paying for a service that they just are not getting.
“02 needs to fully investigate the underlying cause of the continued disruption to the mobile service in this area and proactively address it. Sinn Féin has written to 02 seeking an urgent meeting to press the company on this issue.”
