FERMANAGH and Omagh District Council yesterday (Tuesday) published its Annual Report for 2024-2025, which reflects a year of collaboration and ambition across the district.
The report showcases the council’s progress in delivering high-quality services, championing community wellbeing, and preparing the district for future challenges and opportunities.
Over the past year, the council has focused on four strategic priorities:
Supporting inclusive shared prosperity
Investing in environmental sustainability
Enhancing digital capabilities
Strengthening commitment to community health and wellbeing
The report also reflects the council’s ongoing engagement with residents, businesses, voluntary groups, and public sector partners, shaping services that are more accessible, responsive, and equitable. Initiatives range from youth programmes and cultural investment to enterprise support and community development, reflecting the vibrancy and diversity of the district.
Councillor Barry McElduff, council chairperson said: “This Annual Report is not just a record of what we have achieved - it is a reflection of the resilience, creativity, and spirit of the people of Fermanagh and Omagh. By working together with our communities and partners, we continue to make meaningful progress in building a district that is fairer, greener, and more connected. My thanks go to all who have contributed to our successes this year.”
Alison McCullagh, chief executive, added: “The past year has been one of listening, learning, and adapting. Our work has focused not only on improving services today, but also on preparing for tomorrow - by prioritising investment in innovation, infrastructure, and sustainability. As we look to the future, we remain committed to our core values of inclusion, transparency, and accountability, ensuring that we deliver for everyone in our district.”
The council extended thanks to its councillors, staff, residents, and community partners for their dedication and support.
