POLICE are appealing for information following the theft of a trailer in the Castlederg area - the latest in a series of agricultural thefts reported across West Tyrone in recent weeks.
The trailer was stolen from the Garvetagh Road area sometime between Monday, September 29, and 9am on Saturday, October 4.
It is described as blue with silver mid flaps, and bears a red stamp on the front plate reading ‘McIlwaine Trailers’.
Officers say the trailer is also distinctive because it has three different wheel hubs on the axles.
Police are urging anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area, or who may have been offered a trailer matching this description for sale, to come forward.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “We’re asking members of the public, particularly those in rural and farming communities, to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious vehicles or behaviour immediately.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 25 of 05/10/25. Reports can also be made online via the non-emergency reporting form at www.psni.police.uk/makeareport
Alternatively, information can be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or via www.crimestoppers-uk.org
