Young businessman from Omagh wins Best Family-Run Business at NI Farming Awards 2025

A YOUNG entrepreneur from Gillygooley, Omagh, is making waves across the agricultural industry after taking home the Best Family-Run Business Award at the NI Farming Awards 2025, held in the Crowne Plaza in Belfast last Thursday night.

Allen Alexander, founder of J Alexander & Son Agricultural Machinery Sales, has achieved remarkable success since establishing the business in 2023. In just two years, With help from his father Johnny, mum Linda and partner Amy, Allen has grown the company into one of Northern Ireland’s leading names in new and quality used farm machinery, now boasting over 20 agency partnerships and a customer base stretching across the country - and even as far as Australia.

This latest accolade adds to a growing list of achievements, including Best Trade Stand at Omagh Show and Most Outstanding Trade Stand at Clogher Valley Show, where his business impressed farmers and industry professionals alike with its quality machinery and customer-focused approach.
