The Wandering Stick's Festive Adventure

GORTIN Glen Forest Park will come to life on Saturday and Sunday, December 6 and 7, with characters and creatures offering families a memorable outdoor experience filled with creativity and festive fun.

Brought to you by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, this family-friendly event is designed to spark imagination and connect with nature. Children and adults are invited to join a guided interactive trail through the forest, uncovering hidden stories of the Gortin Glens along the way.

Before setting off, participants will take part in a special workshop where they will create their own stick figure companion, decorated, named, and ready to join the adventure and a keepsake to continue the adventure at home.

The event runs from 10am to 3pm each day, with guided groups departing every hour on the hour. Attendees are asked to arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled time to register and make their way to the workshop area. A dedicated Sensory Workshop will take place from 10am to 11am each day, offering a smaller group and modified activity for a more relaxed experience.

Cllr Barry McElduff, chairman of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, welcomed this new addition to the festive schedule.

This festive adventure is the perfect way to get outdoors, enjoy nature, and create lasting memories with family and friends.
