Aughnacloy Primary School raises record breaking £49,000 in Cash For Kids Challenge!

THANKS to the outstanding generosity of families, community, and local businesses, Aughnacloy Primary School raised an amazing £44,070 during their four-week Cash for Kids Schools Challenge.

With the additional £5,000 winners’ top-up, the school's final total reached an incredible £49,070!

Aughnacloy Primary School are record breakers - no other school has ever raised this amount for Cash For Kids!

A spokesperson for the school said: "As a school we are completely blown away by the level of support we received.

"From sponsorships and prize donations to event contributions and kind words of encouragement, every bit of help made a difference.

"This was a true community effort, and we are so proud of what we have achieved together."

Fundraising included a Primary One to Four coin collection, Primary Five to Seven 'Grow a £5', Crazy Hair Day, Break the Rules Day, a Halloween disco, a table quiz and auction, a Big Breakfast and many local raffles and coffee mornings.

All of the money raised will stay at Aughnacloy Primary School, going directly towards projects and resources that will benefit pupils for years to come including plans to enhance outdoor play areas and learning spaces.

The spokesperson continued: The contribution from parents, children and local businesses played a vital part in helping us reach this incredible milestone, and we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who stood beside us throughout the challenge.

"This achievement belongs to all of us - a testament to what can happen when a small rural community comes together with kindness, creativity, and a shared goal.

"As a school community the staff and School Parent Association would like to thank everyone for their generosity and support.

"You have truly made a difference for our school and our children."
