MEMBERS of Omagh Photography Club embraced the power of feeling and expression this week as they took part in the club’s latest themed competition, ‘Emotion’.
With 14 outstanding entries presented to the judge, the standard of work was described as exceptional. From subtle storytelling to bold visual statements, photographers explored the many faces of human experience, making the judging process no easy task.
Claiming third place was Bryan Hussey with a delightful image titled ‘Grumpy’. The shot charmed viewers with its character and personality, capturing a moment that resonated with both humour and relatability.
Second place went to Joanne Hawkes, whose imaginative and thought-provoking piece sparked lively discussion among members. Her creative interpretation of the theme demonstrated both originality and technical skill.
However, it was Paul Fox who secured the top honour. His masterfully lit black-and-white entry stood out for its striking composition and emotional depth, ultimately stealing the show. The victory marks Paul’s fourth win of the season, further cementing his impressive run of form.
The club has encouraged photography enthusiasts and supporters to view the full gallery of entries on its Facebook page, where all 14 images can be enjoyed.
Looking ahead, members are already preparing to make a splash in the upcoming ‘Water’ themed competition, which will be judged on Tuesday, February 24.
