Omagh Photography Club splash out with 'Water' themed competition

OMAGH Photography Club members enjoyed another successful evening on Tuesday, February 24, as the club hosted its latest themed competition. The event, centred on the theme of ‘Water’, was generously sponsored by North Point Distillery in the north of Scotland.

Members submitted a diverse and imaginative range of entries, each offering a unique interpretation of the theme. The high standard of work once again impressed judges, with the quality of submissions resulting in a tie for third place.

Joint third place was awarded to Peter Cummings and Paul Fox for their striking seascape images captured along the North Coast. Second place went to Joanne Hawkes for her perfectly timed photograph of waves crashing dramatically against a pier, also taken on the North Coast.

First place was claimed by Alasdair Patrick, whose imaginative and creative interpretation of the theme stood out to the judges and secured him his first win of the season.
