STRULE Valley Riding Club (SVRC) held their annual dressage show on Sunday, after a two year break due to COVID, to celebrate 25 years at the RDA, Omagh.

The Club would like to thank all members past and present for supporting the riding club.

"Without you, there would be no need for a club," a spokesperson said. "Thank you to Gwen Garrett and Omagh Riding for the Disabled Association for getting the indoor and outdoor arena ready and looking so well, and for setting up the dressage arena.

"Thanks to Lucinda Webb for judging and scribe Charlene Little. Thanks to Naomi Elkin call up, Dorothy Crawford and Pearl Donnell entries, Helen Badger and Alison Donnell scorers, David Mullin, Café en Route and Robert McLaren, grandson of the late Bob and Doreen Monteith, for coming along to present the RJ Monteith Perpetual Cup.

"Special thanks to Elsie McVeigh, one of the club’s valued founder members for coming along on the day.

"Well done to all competitors and congratulations to those getting placed in their classes. Special congratulations to those competing in dressage for the first time."

Robert McLaren presented Eimear Watson amd Gaurlin Lady with the RJ Monteith Perpetual Cup for being the highest placed SVRC member, winning both her prelim classes.

"Another date for your diary is our ‘horses only working hunter show’ to include NI Festival Qualifiers at Ecclesville, Fintona on Sunday, April 10," the spokesperson added.
