OMAGH'S Lewis Spratt is gearing up for an exciting new chapter in his motocross career as he makes the move to the 250 4 stroke class for the 2026 season.
After spending several years competing on KTM machinery, Spratt has decided to switch brands and will race a Yamaha next year.
The young rider will receive support from Jet Products Yamaha in Sion Mills and is already preparing hard for the new campaign.
His 2026 schedule will begin with the Arenacross series in Birmingham for round one on January 31, 2026, giving him valuable indoor racing experience before the motocross season kicks off in March.
Once the motocross season gets underway, Spratt will contest the MX2 (U21) British Championship, the Scottish Youth and MX2 Championship, and Ulster Championship and depending on its return, the Irish Championship.
In another positive step for his development, Spratt has enlisted Martin Barr as his trainer.
With Barr calling time on his professional racing career at the end of 2025, the experienced Northern Irishman will now turn his focus to coaching - and helping Spratt reach the next level.
Lewis said: "I am over the moon to be supplied with a bike from Jet Products Yamaha from Uel McClintock and Heidi. I’m so grateful to be given this opportunity.
"I’m looking forward to the challenge ahead of me and my next chapter on the 250f Yamaha moving up from a 125cc.
"I’m ready to get to work with Martin Barr as my trainer for the upcoming season."
