MOUNTFIELD have progressed to the next round of the Craig Stanfield Junior Cup following a dominant display against Clonard.

The game at YouthSport, Omagh, was one of only a few fixtures to go ahead on Saturday amid wintry conditions.

Gavin Potter opened the scoring for the hosts on 15 minutes.

The visitors were reduced to ten men eight minutes later following the dismissal of Matt McCusker who brought down a goal-bound Diarmaid Gallagher.

Mountfield made the advantage count and doubled their lead through Gallagher on 54 minutes, with Potter extending the lead before Ruairi Kerr rounded off a polished performance ten minutes from time.
