MICKEY Mansell of Clonoe was crowned the 2026 Tyrone Individual Darts Champion after defeating the in-form Jason Elliott of Augher in the final on a 7–3 scoreline.
Mickey was in tremendous form throughout the tournament, producing a fabulous performance and recording a number of 13, 14 and 15-dart legs, along with several high checkouts on his route to victory.
This success saw Mickey claim his seventh Tyrone Individual Darts Championship title, which is a tremendous achievement. For his victory, he collected £300 in prize money along with the beautiful crystal trophy.
This annual and popular event once again saw a superb entry, with a number of players having to be turned away as the competition was limited to 40 players. The field was divided into eight groups of five, with all groups played in a round-robin format.
There were some brilliant high checkouts recorded throughout the tournament, with many 100-plus finishes on display. The winner of the Highest Checkout award for 2026 was another young and up-and-coming player, Ronan Hogg, who checked out an excellent 154 finish. Ronan received the £50 top prize, which was kindly sponsored by Clogher Valley Village Darts League chairman Shane Murphy.

In Group One, Connor Meegan finished as group winner, with Christy Meegan as runner-up. Group Two was won by Damien McGovern, with Chris Woods finishing second. Mickey Mansell topped Group Three, with Paul McVeigh finishing as runner-up. Jason Elliott claimed first place in Group Four, while Justin McGuigan finished second. Group Five was won by Mark Somerville, with Frankie Pearson as runner-up. James Deery topped Group Six, with Oisin Brady finishing second. Felix McBrearty won Group Seven, with Colin Stronge as runner-up, while JP McHugh claimed first place in Group Eight, ahead of Ethan McGirr.
In the last-16 stage, Christy Meegan defeated James Deery 4–2, while Colin Stronge recorded a 4–0 win over JP McHugh. Mickey Mansell defeated Ethan McGirr 4–0, and Felix McBrearty also won 4–0 against Paul McVeigh. Mark Somerville overcame Chris Woods 4–1, Justin McGuigan edged Damien McGovern 4–3, Connor Meegan defeated Francis Pearson 4–3, and Jason Elliott beat Oisin Brady 4–1.
In the quarter-finals, Colin Stronge defeated Christy Meegan 5–2, while Mickey Mansell recorded a 5–3 win over Felix McBrearty. Mark Somerville progressed with a 5–2 victory against Justin McGuigan, and Jason Elliott defeated Connor Meegan by the same scoreline.
The semi-finals saw Mickey Mansell defeat Colin Stronge 6–1, while Jason Elliott booked his place in the final with a 6–3 win over Mark Somerville.
In the final, Mickey Mansell completed a superb tournament by defeating Jason Elliott 7–3 to lift the 2026 Tyrone Individual Darts Championship title.
The tournament payout saw the winner receive £300 and a crystal trophy, while the runner-up collected £150. The two semi-finalists received £75 each, and the four quarter-finalists were awarded £25 apiece.
